Eastern white pine is a majestic evergreen native to eastern North America. Known for its rapid growth, tall straight trunk, and soft bundles of needles, it adds elegance to landscapes. Adaptable to various soils, it's prized for timber and commonly used in landscaping for its resilience and graceful appearance.

Origin: Native, Michigan State Tree

Current Sale Size: 7 - 10", bare root seedling

Growth Rate: Fast (25" or more / yr)

Soils: Acidic, well-drained sandy soils does not tolerate clay soils

Moisture: Dry to Mesic

Shade Tolerance: Sun to Part Shade

Mature Height: 50 - 80 ft.

Mature Spread: 20 - 40 ft.

Deer Damage Potential: High

Uses: Blue-green needles, five needles per bundle, landscape, wildlife cover, grows tall and straight

Special Notes: Susceptible to white pine blister rust and white pine weevil
